A woman was rescued from the River Lugg near Hereford overnight. 

West Mercia Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service and Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service all attended the incident near Hereford on Tuesday evening.

A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told Your Herefordshire:

“Crews from Hereford, Worcester, Bromyard and Ledbury, including water first responders, were called at 18:50 on 18 October to a location near Prospect Walk, Hereford. 

“A female was located and rescued from the River Lugg by a swiftwater rescue team and handed over to paramedics.  

“Police also attended. The HWFRS callout was closed at 21.56.”
