A teenage boy has been arrested on suspicion of burglary following a police pursuit on Wednesday evening.
Officers had been on patrol in the Hartpury area following reports of a number of burglaries, when they spotted a suspicious vehicle on false plates.
It was linked to an incident that had been reported close to their location which involved males in balaclavas with metal bars attempting to break into a property.
Armed officers caught up to the vehicle on Westgate Street and pursued it for several miles before the driver lost control and collided with a bush in a field in Longney.
One person was detained while a second person was able to get away, despite extensive searches using drones and dogs.
A 17-year-old from Lincolnshire was arrested on suspicion of burglary and dangerous driving. He remains in police custody while enquiries continue.
