Rising COVID-19 cases have forced a school in Herefordshire to take the decision to cancel classes in one year group.
St Francis Xavier RC Primary School in Hereford confirmed on the Herefordshire Council website that the Reception classes at the school would be closed today (Monday) and tomorrow due to rising COVID-19 cases.
A number of schools have been impacted by high levels of COVID-19 in the community over recent weeks, with a combination of student absence and impacts to staffing levels causing problems at a number of local schools. With cases now starting to fall across the majority of the county, local health officials will be hoping that the impact on schools starts to reduce as we head towards the Spring.
