The A49 is closed in both directions at Wellington this morning due to a collision.
The collision has occurred near the dual carriageway, with the road closed in both directions between Hereford and Leominster.
West Mercia Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service and Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service are in attendance.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said:
“We were called at 5.16am to Village Street in Hereford. Two ambulances and a paramedic officer attended the scene. Upon arrival, we found three patients who had been involved in a single car road traffic collision nearby on the A49.
“A man who was the driver of the car had sustained potentially serious injuries. He received treatment at the scene and was conveyed to Hereford County Hospital under emergency blue light conditions for further assessment.
“A man and a woman who were passengers in the car were conveyed to hospital but upon arrival, declined further treatment and were given self care advice before being discharged at the scene.”
A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told Your Herefordshire:
“Two Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Hereford Fire Station and the Service drone from Ledbury were called at 05:15 on 8 August to an RTC involving a small vehicle on the A49 in Wellington.
