Accident investigation work is taking place at the scene.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service told Your Herefordshire:

ā€œWe were called at 09.33am to a road traffic collision involving a motorbike on Monkland Road in Stag Batch, Herefordshire.

ā€œA paramedic officer and a BASICS emergency doctor attended the scene.

ā€œUpon arrival, we found a man who was the motorcyclist.

ā€œUnfortunately, it was clear that nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased by ambulance staff at the scene.ā€

There is significant traffic congestion on routes in Leominster and the surrounding area as a result of the collision and road closure.

Motorists are advised to use an alternative route.
