A man has died following a collision in Cirencester in Gloucestershire yesterday morning (Wednesday) and Police are appealing for information.
From Gloucestershire Constabulary:
Emergency services were called to the A419 Cirencester Road shortly after 10.30am with a report that a silver Volkswagen Polo had left the road and collided with a tree near to Dobbies Garden Centre.
One of the passengers of the car, a man in his 60s and from Cheltenham, sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin are aware and are being supported by a specially trained officer.
A man and woman, both aged in their 80s and who were also in the vehicle, were taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for treatment. They remain there and both are in a critical condition.
Road closures were put in place while a collision investigation took place and these were removed last night.
Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision and has not already spoken to police or anyone who has dashcam footage they feel may be relevant.
