A man has been rescued from the River Wye in Hereford this morning.
The incident briefly saw the Greyfriars Bridge and Old Bridge closed while emergency services responded to a concern for safety.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:
“Officers were called to a concern for safety report at around 6.50am this morning (Thursday 17 October) near to Greyfriars Bridge in Hereford.
“A man had entered the water; however, he was quickly brought out to safety.
“He was treated by ambulance and taken to hospital with minor injuries.”
