Officers in Hereford have charged a man following a house fire in the city at the weekend.

Timothy Dimbylow, aged 29, was due to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates Court today (21 August).

He was charged with arson being reckless as to whether life was endangered, being in charge of a motor vehicle while above the legal limit, and common assault.

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service have confirmed that all people have been accounted for following a house fire in Hereford.

The house fire occurred in the Fallowfield Close area of South Wye, Hereford, in the early hours of Saturday 19th August.

Two fire crews from Hereford attended the incident.

West Mercia Police have confirmed this morning that one man has been arrested following the incident on suspicion of arson.

A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told Your Herefordshire:

“Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service was called out to a house fire in Hereford at 12.46am on Sunday.

“Two Hereford Fire Station crews attended Fallowfield Close to tackle a fire on the first floor of a property.

“They extinguished the flames with two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using one hose reel jet.

“All people were accounted for.

“The property was fully ventilated with no further fire spread and the HWFRS crews left the scene at 2.48am.

“The police and a fire investigation team were requested to investigate the cause of the fire.

“Investigations are ongoing.”
