A Herefordshire Primary School has informed parents this evening that it will be partially closed tomorrow due to water and heating issues.
Lugwardine Primary Academy shared the following update on its social media platforms earlier today:
Dear Parents and Carers,
Unfortunately, today we have had a large water leak in the roof which has caused us to have no hot water or heating in the EYFS, Year 1 or Year 2 classes.
EYFS, Year One and Year Two rely on this heating supply while Year 3 upwards have their own heaters in the classroom.
As a result, we have to close the EYFS, Year One and Year Two classes tomorrow while we solve this issue so the children will need to remain at home. All three classes will be able to access home learning via Seesaw and Tapestry which will be set as soon as possible by the class teachers.
Your class teachers will be in contact tomorrow with your child’s work and we will keep in touch if we can re-open to these classes on Tuesday.
We sincerely apologise for having to take this action and for the inconvenience this causes.
Thank you
