A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew was called to a supermarket in Hereford overnight.

The crew was called to Tesco at Belmont at 3.30am this morning.

A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said:

“A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew from Hereford Fire Station was called at 03:26 on 23 April to an automatic fire alarm activating in Abbotsmead Road, Belmont.

“The crew carried out an external investigation using a thermal imaging camera but there were no obvious signs of smoke or fire.

“The incident was marked as pending closure at 04:06.”
