A fundraising page has been set up to support the Herefordshire family of a 17-year-old boy who was stabbed to death in Solihull.
Reuben, whose family live in Herefordshire, was killed in an incident in Solihull on Tuesday.
West Midlands Police shared the following update on Wednesday, with a murder investigation underway.
Police havelaunched a murder investigation and arrested a teenager following a stabbing in Solihull yesterday evening.
Police were called to Station Road in Marston Green, Solihull at around 6.20pm on Tuesday.
A 17-year-old boy was treated for his injuries by the ambulance service, but despite their best efforts he sadly died and a murder investigation has now been launched.
Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of murder and he remains in police custody as the investigation continues.
“Our thoughts remain firmly with the victim’s family and loved ones at this truly tragic time.” said a Police spokesperson.
Supt Wayne Carter, of Solihull Police, said:
“We know people will understandably be concerned and we will be in the area conducting enquiries throughout the day.
“We will have extra officers in the area over the coming days and I would encourage anyone with any information, or concerns, to get in touch.”
Police are reviewing CCTV footage and making enquires and are also appealing to any witnesses who haven’t spoken to them yet, to come forward.
