A GoFundMe page has been set up to support residents after a number of properties suffered significant damage following a fire in Ledbury on Wednesday.

The fire, that occurred on Lawnside Road in Ledbury, caused damage to a number of properties. 

The local community centre has been collecting donations of items, but a GoFundMe page has been set up to help support the residents affected even more.

The GoFundMe page says:

“As many of you are aware there has been an awful fire in Lawnside Road, Ledbury.

“Multiple families have been affected, some have lost everything.

“We are hoping as a community we can all pull together and raise enough funds to help this families start all over again.

“We have had donations, of clothes, toiletries etc.”

A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue said:

“Two Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – one each from Malvern and Ledbury Fire Stations – plus the aerial ladder platform from Hereford were called at 07:14 on 5 June to a building fire in Lawnside Road, Ledbury.

“The fire involved a three-storey mid-terrace flat with the fire on the top floor having spread to the roof space. 

“The fire was fought by four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using two hosereel jets and a triple extension ladder. 

“There are no casualties and no other emergency services were required although National Grid have been advised.”
