A flood warning remains in place on the River Lugg (south of Leominster) this morning.
An update from the Environment Agency this morning said:
“River levels remain high at the Lugwardine river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall over the past few days. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is expected to continue for the next couple of days.
“We expect flooding to affect low lying land and roads adjacent to the River Lugg south of Leominster from Stoke Prior to Mordiford. Other locations that may be affected include Bodenham, Lugwardine and Hampton Bishop.
“Further rainfall is forecast over the next few days and we expect river levels to remain high. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 5pm on Sunday 02/01/22 or if the situation changes.”
