A busy route in Hereford will be closed for the next two nights (Monday 24th & Tuesday 25th March), for work to traffic signals to take place.
In a letter to residents living on Barton Road in Hereford, Balfour Beatty said:
“We need to inform you about roadworks on Barton Road, Hereford. We will be carrying out Loop Signal Installation for Traffic Signals.
“Works will take place under a road closure from Monday 24th March to (and including) Tuesday 25th March 2025. The road will be closed between 19:00 and 06:00 each night.
“The signed diversion route will be via Barton Road / Breinton Road / Westfaling Street / Wordsworth Road / A438 / Victoria Street / A49 and vice versa.
“We will make every effort to provide vehicular access to properties within the road closure, but there may be times when it is not possible or there are delays. Help and guidance can be obtained from the dedicated marshals on site.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you. At Balfour Beatty we work in partnership with Herefordshire Council to minimise the impact of our work and aim to keep disruptions to a minimum – we appreciate your patience.
“The work schedule may change due to circumstances, like as severe weather. Changes may occur at short notice without further notification. All changes will be shown on advance warning signs at the roadworks site.
