A body has been discovered in the River Severn during search for a missing person.

West Mercia Police confirmed the news this morning by saying:

“We can confirm that a body was recovered from the River Severn in Shrewsbury yesterday while searching for 21-year-old missing man Nathan Fleetwood, who was last seen on Sunday 27 March.

“Formal identification has yet to take place however Nathan’s family have been informed.”

Nathan went missing on 27th March. The 21-year-old was seen in Shrewsbury Town Centre at around 2.30am after leaving the Albert Shed on Barker Street. He is then believed to have made his way towards the Kingsland area of the town shortly afterwards, and was seen on Kingsland Bridge.
