39 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Herefordshire, the highest daily increase in cases for months.
It comes as the UK has recorded just under 28,000 new cases of the virus. It is the highest daily increase in new cases since 9th January, when there were 29,079 new cases recorded.
Herefordshire’s COVID-19 infection rate has also risen again, with data for the seven days ending 26th June showing an infection rate of 44.1 cases per 100,000 population. Herefordshire’s infection rate is likely to continue to rise over the coming days due to a lag in data and an increase in cases being recorded in recent days.
