The weather is set to be wild across much of England and Wales on Friday, with Storm Eunice set to cause disruption across much of the country.
However one thing is for certain, whatever you do, don’t venture up to the Brecon Beacons on Friday. The current Met Office forecast predicts heavy snow and blizzards across the mountain tops, with gusts of wind of up to 105mph possible.
The Mountain Weather Forecast for Brecon Beacons on Friday:
“Very windy at first with violent storm force winds bringing hazardous conditions. Unsettled with Storm Eunice crossing eastwards through the north of England bringing periods of rain and snow overnight, with snow level lifting to the highest peaks, then a showery westerly flow develops from dawn, which gradually weakens through the day, with snow level lowering to around 400m from early evening.
“South or Southwest increasing mean 65-70mph across most exposed ridges and summits from mid-morning, with gusts reaching 90-100mph, before easing gradually through the afternoon and evening.”
