Police have issued an appeal to locate a 72-year-old man who has been reported missing after leaving a property near Minsterworth in the Forest of Dean this morning, Saturday 26 July.

Officers are concerned for Michael’s welfare and are keen to hear from anyone who has seen him or who has information on his whereabouts. 

Michael left an address on Walmore Hill on foot at around 11.30am saying he was going to Stroud on the bus, although it is not known if he then travelled to the town.

He is described as being around 5ft 11ins, of a medium build and with short, white hair. He was wearing a blue top and navy trousers when he was last seen.

Michael likes to visit Gloucester Docks and Lydney and has previously been known to travel to the Coleford area. 

Officers are continuing to search for Michael and they are asking anyone who has seen him, or knows where he might be, to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101 quoting incident 486 of 26 July.
