LIVE UPDATES | A49 closed from Hereford (Starting Gate) to Wellington due to serious RTC - Herefordshire’s Independent Source of News & Information

The A49 is closed between Hereford (Starting Gate) and Wellington this morning due to a serious RTC.

Emergency services, including Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, West Midlands Ambulance Service, West Mercia Police and the Air Ambulance are all on the scene and the road is expected to remain closed for some time.

We are currently at the scene of a serious collision on the A49 in Hereford towards Leominster.

The road is currently closed between junctions Church Road and the junction to Upper Lyde.
