Rail services heading to Hereford from Leominster / Ludlow & Shrewsbury are currently delayed due to an incident.
According to National Rail – a train has hit an object in the Leominster / Ludlow area.
A number of services on this line are currently at a stop.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said:
“We were called to an incident on the railway track at Nordan Farm, Leominster at 10.46am. We currently have an ambulance, five paramedic officers, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham at the scene.”
Transport for Wales has provided the following update:
“We have been made aware of a train hitting an obstruction on the line between Hereford and Shrewsbury.
“For safety, train services are unable to run through the area.
“Please check back here for more information shortly. We apologise for the disruption caused to your journey.”
We understand that West Mercia Police are at the scene.
Passengers are advised to check before they travel.
