Welsh Water’s repair of a collapsed sewer on Commercial Road in Hereford could continue until well into August with complex works underway.
Welsh Water has provided the following update to nearby businesses and residents:
As you may be aware, we are dealing with an ongoing incident on our wastewater network on Commercial Street, Hereford and we wanted to let you know what this means for you.
We have identified a collapsed sewer on Commercial Street, and our contractors Envolve are currently on site investigating so that a repair can be carried out as soon as possible.
We estimate the repair work could take around two weeks.
This work will not impact your wastewater services, but to protect the safety of residents, motorists and our team on site, we have temporary road closures in place and a Cordoned off area to carry work out safely.
Commercial Road – We have temporarily closed one lane on Commercial Road to minimise disruption as far as possible, but the footpath remains open.
Catherine Street and Monkmoor Street – We have temporary closures on both roads while we work to complete this essential work.
