Emergency services are having a busy Friday, with Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Mercia Police all called to a number of incidents.
The M50 remains closed eastbound between Junction 1 (M50) and Junction 8 (M5), due to a collision involving multiple vehicles. The road is likely to remain closed for the next few hours.
The incident on the M50 is also causing delays on the M5 and motorists are advised to use alternative routes this evening.
Elsewhere, a car fire has caused minor delays on the A4103 (Hereford to Worcester Road) near Whitestone.
Emergency services are currently on the scene.
Earlier today, emergency services were called to a collision near Weobley.
A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (Eardisley Fire Station) said:
“At 08:37 we were turned out to an RTC on the A4112 at the junction with Weobley. Two cars involved but thankfully both drivers were safe and out of their vehicles on arrival, Police in attendance.
“We ran out a hose reel jet in case of fire and then attended to both vehicles. One of the vehicles being a hybrid, needed some extra attention but both were made safe in short order. We left the scene in the hands of West Mercia Police.”
