A major route heading into Hereford is blocked this morning following a collision.

The collision has occurred on the A4103 Hereford to Worcester Road near Radway Bridge Garden Centre.

West Mercia Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service and Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service are all at the scene.

A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told Your Herefordshire:

“Two Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Hereford Fire Station were called at 08:36 on 3 March to an RTC involving a large vehicle on the A4103 in Whitestone.

“A 32-tonne tipped vehicle had left the carriageway and was resting on its side on the verge.

“No persons were trapped and there were no casualties. Police attended for traffic management. Crews remain at the scene.”

Rail services are also cancelled between Hereford and Ledbury as a result of this incident.

A spokesperson for National Rail said:

A vehicle striking a bridge between Hereford and Worcester Foregate Street means all lines are blocked.

“Trains running between these stations may be cancelled or revised.

“Network Rail staff are now on-site.

“Disruption is expected until 12:00.”

There are large queues of traffic, with motorists be turned around by officers.

Motorists are advised to use an alternative route.

More soon.
