Welsh Water issued an urgent message to all Herefordshire households over the weekend.

Despite temperatures falling to the low 20’s early this week, residents in Herefordshire are still being asked to avoid wasting water.

With temperatures peaking at 34c over the weekend in Herefordshire, Welsh Water shared the following message:

“Operational Issues affecting Hereford, Ledbury, Builth Wells & surrounding areas.

“We’re experiencing very high demand for water due to the warm weather, particularly in the Hereford and Ledbury areas of the country.

“When the weather’s this warm, we all use more water.

“We’ll be doing everything we can to keep your water flowing, but we need your help, particularly over the next few days.

“Please use all the water you need but help save what you can by not wasting it.”
