Emergency services are responding to a collision on the A49 in Herefordshire this afternoon.

The collision has occurred on The A49 at Dinmore Hill, between Hereford and Leominster.

West Mercia Police are at the scene.

Traffic is building up near the junction for the A417 (Bodenham).

A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told Your Herefordshire:

“A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew from Leominster Fire Station was called at 13:20 on 16 June to an RTC at Hope-under-Dinmore.

“This was a two-vehicle RTC at the junction of the A49 with Cherrybrook Close.

“Police were also in attendance. One female casualty was given initial triage by fire service personnel before being handed over to the care of the ambulance service. Both vehicles were made safe.

“The incident was marked as pending closure at 14:07.”

Motorists are advised to expect delays or to use an alternative route.
