Great Western Way is closed between Belmont Road and Escley Drive, following the discovery of a body.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police told Your Herefordshire:
“The path is currently closed after the body of a man was found near Escley drive by Belmont road Hereford. The death is currently being treated as unexplained, a cordon is in place while police carry out enquiries.”
A section of the Great Western Way footpath in Hereford is cordoned off this afternoon.
The footpath is currently closed close to the bridge that passes over Belmont Road. Access is still available to and from The Oval for pedestrians and cyclists but access to Redhill is currently blocked.
Officers have been in the area since this morning.
