West Mercia Police responded to reports of disorder in Hereford overnight — with a number of people arrested.

From West Mercia Police Dog Section:

PD Fende Praised After Assisting Officers During Disorder in Hereford.

In the early hours of Saturday morning, officers responded to an assault on Union Street, Hereford.

While dealing with the suspect—who was resisting arrest—a group of males approached officers, shouting aggressively and attempting to interfere.

With officers facing increasing hostility, Police Dog Fende was deployed to help restore order.

On command, PD Fende immediately took control of the situation, barking to create space and safely disperse the group.

Her presence allowed officers to complete the arrest and prevent the situation from escalating further.

Additional units soon arrived, and several individuals were arrested for public order offences.

PD Fende’s calm, controlled, and highly trained response ensured the safety of both officers and members of the public during a volatile incident.

A huge well done to PD Fende—another example of the vital role our police dogs play in keeping our communities safe.
