The family of Bill Evans have provided an update on funeral details:
Bill’s funeral will take place at Hereford Crematorium on Tuesday 22nd July at 10.15am.
Bill Evans – 15/6/1941-02/07/2025 (Aged 84)
His daughter Rosalyn shared the following message:
“I would like to share with you all that our father Bill Evans passed away Wednesday 2nd July at 03.35am at Hereford County Hospital (Garway Ward).
“The team at the hospital worked so hard to care for Dad but all they could do was make him comfortable.
“Our dad, your friend was a very well known man around Hereford and he was the caretaker at St. Martin’s Church for many, many years and no job was too big.
“He worked so hard to make it a beautiful ground for all your loved ones and family to visit.
“He would also be spotted cutting people’s hedges in all areas and he was such an active gentleman and he loved chatting to everyone.
“He was a very respected fella throughout Hereford and we will miss him so much. Losing him has left a huge hole in our hearts and we are devastated.
“He is now back in the arms of his loving wife Barbara who passed away on 27/12/2016.
“We will post all relevant information of his funeral as we move forward and if you would like to attend please do so.”
