The Environment Agency has issued a number of flood alerts across Herefordshire with rivers set to rise with heavy rain forecast in the early hours of Saturday and again on Monday.
Flood alert for River Arrow in Herefordshire:
Forecast rising river levels overnight may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible from the morning of 29 November 2025.
Flooding may affect low lying land and roads along the River Arrow from Michaelchurch to Brierley. Other areas that may be affected include Kington, Staunton and Eardisland.
Flood alert for River Frome in Herefordshire:
Forecast rising river levels tomorrow morning may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible from the early hours of 29 November 2025.
Flooding may affect low lying land and roads along the River Frome from Bromyard to Hereford. Other locations that may be affected include Bishops Frome and Yarkhill.
Flood alert for River Leadon catchment:
Forecast rising river levels overnight may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible from overnight on 28 November 2025.
Widespread heavy rainfall overnight may lead to flooding. Flooding may affect low lying land and roads adjacent to the River Leadon.
Locations that may be affected include Ledbury, Much Marcle, Staunton, Tibberton and Wedderburn Bridge.
Flood alert for River Lugg south of Leominster:
High river levels today may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible from the early hours of 29 November 2025.
Flooding may affect low lying land and roads adjacent to the River Lugg south of Leominster from Stoke Prior to Mordiford.
Other locations that may be affected include Bodenham, Lugwardine and Hampton Bishop.
Flood alert for River Wye in Herefordshire:
Rising river levels today may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible from the early hours of 29 November 2025.
Flooding may affect low lying land and roads along the River Wye from Hay on Wye to Ross on Wye.
Other locations affected may include the A438 between Letton & Willersey, Byford, Bredwardine & Hereford. Road closures & diversions on the A438 may be in force.
Predicted peaks:- Hay on Wye 2.0m to 2.5m on 29/11 PM, Bredwardine 4.2m to 4.7m on 29/11 evening, Belmont 4.3m to 4.8m on 30/11 AM, Old Wye Bridge 3.7m to 4.2m on 30/11 AM, Mordiford 4.0m to 4.5m on 30/11 AM, Ross on Wye 3.5m to 4.0m on 30/11 PM.
Flood alert for Upper Teme:
Forecast rising river levels tomorrow morning may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible from the morning of 29 November 2025.
Flooding may affect low lying land and roads adjacent the River Teme, River Onny and River Corve and their tributaries. Locations that may be affected include Bishops Castle, Church Stretton, Knighton and Ludlow. Predicted peaks:- Leintwardine 1.0 to 1.3m 29/11 evening, Onibury 1.8m to 2.3m 29/11 PM, Corve 2.7m to 3.2m 29/11 PM.
