The team at Hereford Cathedral is celebrating after being shortlisted for the third year running in the 2023 Group Leisure & Travel Awards.

The awards recognise and reward the best providers, attractions and destinations for groups to visit across the country and are organised by Group Leisure & Travel, Britain’s best-read magazine for people who organise coach tours, group trips and holidays. This year, for the third year running, the cathedral has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Historic Attraction or Venue’ category, alongside leading palaces and castles in the home counties.

The second round of voting is now open and Group Travel Organisers are able to vote for Hereford Cathedral to win their category on the Group Leisure and Travel website: www.groupleisureandtravel.com/Awards. Voting closes on Sunday 2 July and the winner will be announced on Wednesday 4 October at the annual awards ceremony in Milton Keynes.

Chris Milton, Chief Operating Officer at Hereford Cathedral, said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted once again in the Group Leisure & Travel Awards and would like to thank the magazine readers for nominating us. There are some fantastic destinations also on the shortlist, but we are hoping that this year will be third time lucky – please do vote for us if you are able to!”

Owen Towndrow, Visitor Engagement Officer at Hereford Cathedral, said: “We really enjoy working with Group Travel Organisers to build bespoke visits and experiences for their guests, and are thrilled that our work has been recognised. It’s a real pleasure each year to welcome so many different groups, from coach excursions to specialist groups, and to be able to share Hereford Cathedral and its wonderful surroundings with visitors.”
