Empowering Women in Engineering (available on the BEng and MEng)
With just 16.5%[1] of engineering jobs in the UK being held by women, now is the time to explore how women can shape the industry in the future by studying engineering. The Motorola Solutions Foundation Scholarship at NMITE is designed to address the gender gap in engineering by supporting UK-based women. This scholarship provides £5,000 in cash for the first year of study.
Life Changer Bursaries for Local Students (available on BEng, MEng and Foundation Year)
The Life Changer bursary initiative aims to support students from or currently studying in Herefordshire, offering cash bursaries of £10,000. This support enables local students to pursue higher education without the added costs of relocation, emphasising NMITE’s commitment to fostering local talent.
“Receiving an NMITE bursary was a brilliant opportunity that allowed me to focus on my education. Engineering opens doors to a brilliant future, and being part of NMITE’s innovative and supportive environment has set me on the path to a successful career at my new role with Balfour Beatty” says Elise Cummings, 2024 graduate, NMITE.
In addition to financial support, NMITE offers the BOOST scheme which is available for all students, enhancing well-being and community engagement through various services. These include regular meal events providing social opportunities and nutritious food, free shopping experiences, essential sanitary products, daily travel subsidies, and cleaning supplies for shared housing to ensure a healthy living environment.
NMITE is shaping the engineers of the future with its innovative, hands-on approach to education. By integrating real-world, industry-set challenges with technical and interpersonal skills, NMITE prepares students to become leaders in their fields. With unparalleled support and a focus on inclusivity, there has never been a better time to consider a degree in engineering. Whether you’re local to Herefordshire or coming from afar, NMITE offers a unique opportunity to make a difference in the world.
