Hereford based, New Model for Technology and Engineering (NMITE) has entered into its first formal international student recruitment agreement with Gurukul Global Services to promote its courses to the prospective students in Punjab (northwestern India) for its September 2025 intake.
Gurukul Global Services will cover all of NMITE’s courses including its Foundation Year; BSc (Hons) Construction Management; BEng (Hons) Integrated Engineering; MEng (Hons) Integrated Engineering (Accelerated) and M Eng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering (Accelerated).
Since launching in September 2021, NMITE has built upon its appeal as a small specialist university and believes this will work equally as well for those from overseas to those who have lived and grown up in its home town of Hereford.
At the core of its appeal is that NMITE students develop the knowledge and skills needed to find solutions to important global development issues, whether as a skilled engineer or built environment expert. NMITE delivers graduates who are confident, world-conscious and highly employable, career-ready individuals.
“We have always had an international outlook,” comments Professor David Oloke, Chief Academic Office at NMITE. “Indeed, one of our inspirations and early supporters was Richard Miller, now Professor Emeritus and President Emeritus of Olin College of Engineering (USA).
“We look forward to working with Gurukul Global Services to promote ourselves in India. They have been recruiting into the UK for three decades and come highly recommended from colleagues at different universities so we are confident that they will understand the NMITE point of difference and be able to position us in the market.”
Jasmine Kaur of Gurukul Global Services says: “We are delighted to partner with NMITE, an institution that stands out for its unique and forward-thinking learning model. NMITE’s approach is firmly grounded in real-world industry work practices, providing students with hands-on experiences that cultivate resilience and adaptability.
“Through this model, students gain a deeper understanding of decision-making by examining challenges from diverse perspectives, preparing them to navigate complex situations with confidence and creativity.”
A cornerstone of NMITE’s philosophy is its unwavering commitment to individualised learning, ensuring that every student receives personalised support tailored to their unique strengths, goals, and aspirations. This focus equips students with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in today’s dynamic industries.
Students who choose to study at NMITE gain a distinct advantage, emerging as work-ready professionals equipped to meet the demands of the modern workplace. By fostering both practical expertise and future-proof competencies, NMITE prepares its graduates to excel in their careers and adapt to the ever-evolving landscape of work.
