Victor COLLETT aged 37 of Hereford issued with a Criminal Behaviour Order

COLLETT appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on 06 May 2022 charged with malicious communication. A 2 year Criminal behaviour Order was issued against him that prohibits him from:

1. Behaving towards any person in any public or private place in such a way as to cause harassment, alarm or distress (which includes but not limited to shouting, swearing or other aggressive, intimidating or disorderly behaviour);

2. Contacting any of the emergency services by any means whatsoever, save when in genuine need of emergency services requiring immediate assessment, action, treatment or investigation where you report a crime or incident;

3. Displaying abusive, threatening, obstructive or aggressive conduct towards members of the emergency services including any member of NHS staff, whether face to face or by telephone.

Jim Mooney Police Community Safety Officer comments that, “Collett has a long history in both Worcestershire and since early 2021 in Herefordshire of being a significant nuisance and disruptive influence to others in the area where he lives by making excessive noise thought shouting and swearing at others.

“In addition he has made numerous calls to the Police and other emergency services which are unnecessary and quickly became obscene, intimidating and on occasions threatening to the call taker.

“Many of the calls have been made when he is drunk and on his own admission ‘bored’. Despite many attempts to change his behaviour he failed to comply with directions and support offered. A breach of the CBO is a criminal offence and hopefully I being in place will prevent his bad conduct impacting on others. Any breaches of the CBO should be reported on line via www.westmerciapolice.uk or by calling ‘101’.”
