Meals on Wheels Herefordshire have become the latest business to announce that they will step forward to offer families free school meals during half term after the government failed to support a plan put forward by The Labour Party and footballer Marcus Rashford to give children free school meals during the school holidays.
Meals on Wheels Herefordshire said:
Free lunches for school aged children this half term.
We would like to do our bit and help any families in need.
We will provide a free lunch (hot and cold) for any children of a school age this half term.
A time slot collection will be offered, with no questions asked and absolutely no judgement, everything will remain confidential.
