Can you help raise £500 for two young autistic boys from Hereford and their older brother have the best Christmas they can with their Mummy who has terminal cancer.
Here is the story of Shell Higgs and her boys, shared by Amy, who set up the JustGiving page:
“My best friend Shell Higgs has been bravely and courageously battling terminal cervical cancer since the end of December 2022.
“She is the most amazing mummy to three boys, Jamie and Tyler who are both severely autistic and aged 14 and 8, and Spencer who is aged 19 and has taken on so much of the caring responsibility since Shell started treatment.
“Shell is also married to Brian who every year dedicates his time to an amazing Christmas light display to raise money for the boys’ specialist school.
“At which both of them volunteer even since Shell’s chemo began back in March 2023.
“This beautiful and brave family don’t know what the future with their mummy looks like right now and so they want to throw the most spectacular Christmas this year to really spoil the boys for everything they have been through and for all the heartache they have had the last few months. (baring in mind due to their autism Jamie and Tyler don’t always fully understand why mummy is poorly).
“Let’s show this wonderful family the true spirit of Christmas and give back to such a wonderful couple who always give so much of themselves.”
“Shell…. as always. I love you.”
