On the 9th August 2025 Kerri and Katie (aka Rooster and Maverick) will be taking to the air to undertake a Wing Walk in memory of Katie’s 16 year old son Maxi and raise valuable funds for PAPYRUS.

On the 27th August 2024 Max Turton died by suicide, thinking that was the only way.

Chris and Katie have been supporting the charity PAPYRUS (Prevention of Young Suicide) to prevent this tragedy happening to another young person and family.

Suicide is the biggest killer of young people in the UK, every year over 1,800 young people took their own lives.

PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINE247.

Every £10 raised can contribute towards a life-saving contact to HOPELINE247. Your donations really are changing lives, thank you!

‘On 28th August 2024, their beloved son Max, took his own life. Max was an incredible boy, his gentle spirit and infectious sense of humor made him a popular figure amongst his schoolmates, football teammates, and everyone that met him.

‘Whether on the pitch, at home with family or with friends, his thoughtful and kind-hearted nature was always putting others at ease and bringing smiles to those around him.

‘Son to Katie and Chris, and brother to Aimee and Ben, Max was the heart of his family, filling their lives with warmth, laughter, and endless love.

‘He was the kind of boy who would light up a room simply by being in it, ready to share a joke, and support to anyone that needed it.

‘The loss of Max leaves a void that words can’t express. His memory will continue to shine brightly, reminding us of his ability to bring happiness, his gentle heart, and the countless lives he touched.

‘Max was a truly special boy, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.’
