Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced that anyone arriving in the UK must have had a negative COVID test result within 72 hours to be granted entry, from 4am on Monday.
Anyone looking to fly into the United Kingdom from overseas will have to show proof of a negative Covid test before setting off.
The news comes as a ban on travellers from South America and Portugal came into force on Friday over concerns about a new COVID-19 variant that has been identified in Brazil.
