Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision that happened yesterday afternoon (22 February).

The collision happened at around 3pm on the A44, Spetchley Road in Worcester when a white BMW 3 series collided with a white Ford Mondeo.

Despite efforts from paramedics the driver of the Mondeo, a woman aged 26, and the passenger, a woman aged 39 were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

A 6-year-old boy, who was also in the Mondeo, was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital, but sadly died shortly after arrival.

Two men, both occupants of the BMW, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with serious injuries.

Chief Inspector Mark Davidson said: “This is an incredibly sad incident, and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the people who have sadly died.

“I urge anybody who witnessed the collision or may have dash-cam footage to contact the police as you may be able to help with our investigation into what happened”.
