Seven farm workers have tested positive for the COVID-19 variant first identified in India, Herefordshire Council has confirmed.

The council hasn’t released details of which farm the outbreak has occurred at but 14 workers are understood to have tested positive for COVID-19, with seven having tested positive with the Indian variant (B.1.617.2).

It comes as Your Herefordshire broke the news earlier this week that the Indian variant had been recorded in the county.
