Schools in England will not reopen after the February half-term, the prime minister has confirmed to the House of Commons this afternoon.
The Prime Minister said that the situation that the United Kingdom finds itself in is serious and that the time isn’t right to send schools back.
During the current lockdown, primary and secondary schools in England have been closed for all pupils, apart from the children of key workers and those who are vulnerable.
The Prime Minister did however say that he hoped that schools could return on 8th March.
