Network Rail has confirmed that rail services are in action again between Hereford and Shrewsbury following a train crash on Thursday.

An update from Network Rail said:

“The mainline between Hereford and Shrewsbury has now reopened following a collision between a train and a tractor trailer on the track near Leominster yesterday (Thursday, 22 May).

“Customers should continue to check before they travel and rugby fans travelling to the event in Cardiff this weekend are advised to allow extra time for their journey.

“We’d like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding whilst we safely bring back our services.”
