Emergency services are responding to an incident in Hereford this evening.
West Mercia Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service and the Police Helicopter have been spotted in the Hampton Park Road area of the city. Officers have also been spotted near the River Wye.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:
“We’re currently dealing with an incident in the Hampton Bishop area of Hereford.
“There will continue to be a police presence overnight and in to the morning. We’d like to reassure residents that we believe this to be a contained incident with no threat to the wider community.”
Local residents have reported hearing the police helicopter hovering near the River Wye for the past hour and the incident appears to still be ongoing at 11.00pm.
