West Mercia Police are currently responding to reports of an incident near Holmer School in Hereford.
Your Herefordshire understands that officers were called following reports of a man with a weapon seen near the school just before it was due to close for the day.
Parents and children are currently locked down inside the school grounds.
There is a significant Police presence in the area.
A police helicopter is also above the school.
