Police have issued an important update following reports that three men reportedly attempted to lure an 11-year-old boy into a vehicle in Ledbury on Sunday.
From West Mercia Police:
“Officers attended an address in Queens Way, Ledbury this afternoon following a report that three males parked up in Long Acres attempted to lure an 11 year old boy into their vehicle.
“The males were aged between 20 and 40, with two in the front of the vehicle and one in the rear.
“The male in the rear of the vehicle beckoned the boy over using hand gestures, nothing was said and the boy ran away.
“The boy described the vehicle as yellow/green with a metallic look, possibly a small Peugeot or Renault. No registration was taken and CCTV enquiries have so far proved negative.
“Officers carried out an area search but no vehicle matching the description has been seen.
“Please can we ask that local residents check their ring doorbell footage. If anyone was in the Long Acres area around 3.30pm and remembers seeing this vehicle please call 101 quoting incident 00355_I_29062025
