Two earthquakes have been recorded near the Herefordshire border over recent days.

The first tremor was recorded near Llangurig in Powys on 25th July. It was a magnitude 1.1 earthquake.

The second tremor was recorded near Llanddewi in Powys on 27th July. It was a 0.8 magnitude earthquake.

It follows a number of recent earth tremors in the local area, with a 2.5 magnitude earthquake recorded in Knucklas in Powys in early July.

According to experts;

Earthquakes with a magnitude of 2.5 or less are – ‘Usually not felt, but can be recorded by seismograph.’
