Emergency services are responding to reports of a fire at Marks and Spencer in Hereford this afternoon.
The incident occurred at around 2.30pm.
Two crews remain at the scene. The store has been evacuated.
A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told Your Herefordshire:
“Two Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Hereford Fire Station were called at 14:31 on 18 June to smoke issuing at a shop in High Town, Hereford.
“Smoke was discovered in an escalator shaft but no sign of fire has been found.
“The incident is ongoing.”
