Your Herefordshire understands that asylum seekers have been moved out a hotel in Leominster, after concerns were raised about the safety of the accommodation.

Asylum Seekers had been housed at The Talbot Hotel in Leominster, as well as at the Three Counties Hotel in Hereford.

Leominster Food Bank shared the following post on social media, after hearing of the news:

“May of you in Leominster will be sad to learn that new friends from Syria, Iran, Iraq, Bangladesh, Georgia, Mauritius, India and Afghanistan have been moved away from our town due to concerns about the safety of the accommodation they were living in.

“They were very sad to be moved so suddenly and wanted to thank the people of our town for their kindness over the last few weeks.

“We are thinking of them all and wish them a warm welcome in all the places they have moved to.”
