A Herefordshire school will be closed today for urgent works to take place.
Michaelchurch Escley shared the following message on the Herefordshire Council school closures portal:
Preschool and School CLOSED – Thursday 7th May 2026.
Due to planned National Grid maintenance work, the school and preschool will be without power for the whole day and unable to open safely.
Online learning has been set for all school pupils.
