Today a murder investigation was launched after a woman was found dead at a property in Herefordshire.
At around 8am this morning (Thursday 6 January), West Mercia Police received a report of a collision whereby a car crashed into a lamppost on Eye Lane, Moreton Eye near Luston in Herefordshire.
Officers responded and, following enquiries, attended an address in Herefordshire.
Sadly, a 78-year-old woman from Herefordshire was found dead at the address.
The death is being investigated as a murder and a 48-year-old man has been arrested and remains in custody.
