Emergency services were called to a serious collision on the A4103 Hereford to Worcester Road this morning.

The collision occurred near Yarkhill.

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that a car and a lorry had been completely destroyed by fire following the incident. 

The road remains closed in both directions this morning.

A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told Your Herefordshire:

“Four Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – two from Hereford and one each from Fownhope and Leominster Fire Stations – were called at 01:01 on 16 December to a RTC involving a large vehicle in Yarkhill.

“The incident involved a HGV and a car, both of which were totally destroyed by fire. 

“Police and ambulance also attended. 

“The road remains closed with two crews remaining at the scene.”
